Why You Don't THINK You Need Training:

1) You hunt wildlife every year.
2) You have carried a firearm for decades with no problems.

3) Your spouse, partner, family, friend, etc will be there to protect you.
4) You're anti-violence.
5) Law Enforcement will save you.
6) Your Papa taught you how to shoot when you were a child.

Why You Do Need Training:

1) You hunt with success in your no-stress, peaceful deer stand, as opposed to shooting in a loud, maybe low-light, chaotic, threatening split second setting.
2) When was the last time you practiced with your firearm and more importantly, when was the last time you cleaned it?

3) Your spouse, partner, family, friend, etc may not always be there and would you rather be a liability to them or an asset?
4) You may be anti-violence but the criminals are not.
5) Law Enforcement can't be everywhere at once. The shortest average law enforcement response time is 3 minutes. Let me beat on you for 3 minutes straight.
6) Papa's lessons may be good but all skills in life improve with practice.

About

About

We are your first step toward handgun proficiency. The first step is learning the fundamentals, or enhancing what you already know. We offer a small class size of four students at a time, so you receive a more personalized instruction. This also helps with range safety and allows plenty of time to refine your newly learned skills. Our goal is to have you gain confidence, learn something new, and leave with enhanced firearm handling skills. We teach in a simplistic, down-to-earth fashion. This is NOT a "run and gun" type of instruction. You will not be storming the castle and diving behind barricades. There will not be any tactical SWAT training. This is the place you come to with all of your questions, without judgement. Being intimidated or feeling out of place takes away from a serious subject that can prevent people from learning new skills.

This is also not a social media propaganda event. Influencers who want to take a shooting class and post video on their social platforms, need not attend. We feel this takes away from a very serious subject matter and we don't want any outside distractions.

Lead Instructor

Our lead instructor, Mike, is a retired law enforcement officer with 28 years of experience to include but not limited to being a well-respected firearms instructor, agency Glock Armorer, an NRA Range Safety Officer and Pistol instructor. He constantly receives positive feedback from students of all ages.

A few things to note

No students under the age of 16 and all minors must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is per student, regardless of age.

No open-toe shoes, no Croc style shoes, no slides, no shorts, and no sleeveless shirts or tank tops.

No drugs or alcohol consumption while on the property. We reserve the right to deny service to anyone not in compliance and you will be removed from the property immediately. This is for everyone's safety.

M.W., GA

"I've been shooting a long time and took this class out of obligation to obtain my permit. But this class was much more than I expected. I learned more from this class than I thought I would."

S.P., VA

"Being female and 21 with very little shooting experience, I was a little scared to sign up for a class but with the encouragement of a law enforcement friend, I took the Basic Pistol class. I am so glad I did. I am more confident, and I discovered a love for shooting."

D.S., TN

“...very informative, extremely knowledgeable, and very very welcoming. I was very very much impressed.”
